Location: Port Hadlock, WA + travel in Jefferson County.
Schedule: This role offers a flexible schedule and some ability to work from home as needed. Days in the office are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; you should expect to be available during those times.
Compensation: The hourly pay rate for this position is between $20.00 and 22.00 DOE/DOQ. The average work week is 21 hours. A stipend of $250 for health benefits per month is offered. We offer time off for federal holidays, your birthday, one week vacation, and accrued sick leave.

Summary:
This position provides general office support by handling clerical tasks, organizing information, doing data entry and supporting the Executive Director. This position handles correspondence, maintains records, and assists with other administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
This position reports to the Executive Director and has interactions with managerial staff.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining records and files: organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files, databases, and other records
Handling correspondence: managing donor acknowledgements, responding to general inquiries about volunteer opportunities, in-kind donations and coordinating outreach to community supporters
Preparing documents: copying, filing, data entry and management of online reporting of food, client and volunteer data across various platforms
Collaborating with other food bank locations: fielding inquiries from volunteers on record keeping ensuring smooth workflow, communication and compliance requirements
Ensuring confidentiality: handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Required Qualities and Skills:
Competency with Microsoft Office software and Google workspace (specifically word processing and spreadsheets) and online databases or CRM software
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills
Customer service skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with web-based tools and working from mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets
Social media savvy – Facebook and Instagram
Knowledge of working with low-income families or in a social service setting
Knowledge of non-profit structure and operations
Resident of east Jefferson County or able to relocate to the area.

Valid Washington Driver's license
Reliable personal transportation

Summary Job Description
The Jefferson County Food Bank Association is seeking a new board member to serve a three-year term.
We are looking for mission-aligned individuals with strong collaboration, communication, implementation, and strategic skills, a commitment to DEI, and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Supply Chain Logistics
Jefferson County Local Food Network
Experience in Local, State, and/or National Government Service
Non-Profit CEO
Commercial Real Estate Developer and/or Builder
Publisher/Media
The board of the JCFBA organization is a volunteer board. Members are not paid and dedicate their time and expertise to support the JCFBA and its mission and collective purpose. They typically serve an average of five hours per week.
We believe decisions about board roles are a mutual decision between the prospective board member and the JCFBA board. If there’s a mutual interest, prospective candidates may be invited to join a committee or tiger team in order to become more familiar with the organization before a vote by the board.

What’s Expected of a JCFBA Board Member?
As the leadership body of the organization, the board is responsible for:
Determining and supporting the mission and objectives of the organization
Ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management
Selecting and evaluating the performance of the Executive Director
Strategic and organizational planning
Supporting fundraising and resource development
Approving and monitoring JCFBA’s programs and services
Enhancing JCFBA’s public image
Assessing its own performance as the governing body of JCFBA
Each individual board member is expected to:
Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in at least 75% of board meetings
Follow the organization’s bylaws, policies, and board resolutions
Disclose potential conflicts before meetings and actual conflicts during meetings
Maintain confidentiality about all internal matters of JCFBA
Model the organization’s values
Commit to human equity and social justice
Have a strong passion for food justice and understanding on issues related to poverty and hunger
Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization
Participate in fundraising events that support JCFBA
Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve JCFBA’s mission
Make a personally significant gift each year, which may include time, talent, and/or experiences
Participate fully in one or more committees and/or contribute expertise and skill in a specific area that supports the JCFBA
In addition, board members:
Faithfully read and understand the organization’s financial statements
Know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs
Address all reported concerns or complaints regarding corporate accounting practices, internal controls, or auditing
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures for evaluation of the Executive Director, which includes input from stakeholders and the ED.
Approve major purchases and financial transactions that are outside of the Association’s business routine.
Visit each food bank at least once yearly
